Match Report
Sevenoaks School Girls-2nd XI vs  Cranleigh School
On: Saturday, 11 Sep 2021
Venue: Away

A beautifully sunny (late) afternoon at Cranleigh saw an exciting and hard fought, verging on the frantic, fixture. We were not great at retaining possession in the first half and would often work hard to turn the ball over, only to pass straight back to them. An early short corner settled nerves a bit, but we found it difficult to convert chances in front of goal - although in the 2nd half remembered to upgrade forays in their D to shorts. Bex made save of the day with a diving stick stop on the line, and kept us in it on a couple of their occasions to gain MVP no1, but in the 2nd half passing was better and we created far more chances. Issy N and Morven were often instrumental here, and ‘Mandy’ had some good runs up the right, but Rachel gets MVP no2 for her part in creating the attacking moves in the D. We missed two glorious chances in front of goal which would have sealed the win, but an honourable draw was eventually arrived at .
